Brown County Public Library and the Brown County Literacy Coalition invite you to join together in celebrating our fall season at the Library in our beautiful children’s garden. Music provided by Robbie Bowden and Carolyn Dutton. Free books, food, stories and children’s activities. Wear something fun for the costume contest and you may win a prize. In case of rain the meeting rooms will be available.

INDIANA FOLK ARTS: 200 YEARS OF TRADITION AND INNOVATION (traveling exhibit)
The traveling exhibit “Indiana Folk Arts: 200 years of Tradition and Innovation” celebrates the rich culture and heritage of Indiana. It includes the work of master artisans and highlights the diverse traditional art forms of our state. From Mennonite basketry and African quilt making to Miami beadwork and German-American rag rug weaving, the exhibition explores the work of folk artists, whose crafts represents important threads within our state’s historical narrative. This exhibit is provided by Traditional Arts Indiana based at the Mathers Museum of World Culture at Indiana University. Please join us and presenter, Jon Kay, for a Reception, Friday, November 11th, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the lower level meeting rooms of the Brown County Public Library. The exhibit will be on display during regular library hours November 12th and 13th. Free and open to all.
