Our Solar Project is complete!

It’s been three months of construction and parking lot closures but it was worth it!

Our 324 solar panels have been installed in the lower parking lot — just in time to provided covered parking in the summer heat. The project also includes two electric vehicle charging stations and new LED lighting throughout the entire Library.

Through the hard work of the Friends of the Library, $64,200.90 has been raised specifically to pay for the solar panels. We offer a big “thank you” to all of the generous donors who contributed to helping make our Library the first solar powered public building in the county.
