Summer Reading 2024: Adventure Begins at Your Library! for Littles, Kids and Teens
You are invited to seven weeks of summer reading and fun!
How to participate:
Log the minutes you read to earn incentives and prizes along the way. You can also increase your summer fun by visiting the adventure activity station in the library and taking home craft ideas, activities and reading suggestions.
Win Prizes!
You can also earn tickets in the Grand Prize Drawing by attending library programs and doing the activities on your Summer Reading Bingo Card. See the events calendar for incredible Summer Reading programs for all ages.
And you are invited to the End of Summer Reading Party on July 20th when we will draw winners for the Grand Prizes!
That’s seven weeks of Summer Reading with a different theme each week!
- Week 1 (begins June 1): Adventures in Reading
- Week 2 (begins June 11): Adventures in Travel
- Week 3 (begins June 17): Adventures Close to Home
- Week 4 (begins June 24: Adventures in Nature
- Week 5 (begins July 1): Mysteries and Puzzles
- Week 6 (begins July 8): Adventures in Imagination
- Week 7 (begins July 15): Adventures in the Dark
Summer Reading 2024: Adventure Begins at Your Library! for Adults
June 1 – July 20
Log the books you read to earn entries in the end of summer prize drawings. You only have to read 6 books to complete the Summer Reading program, but you can earn extra drawing entries by attending library programs or writing book reviews.

- Gift Certificate to Fallen Leaf Books
- Gift Certificate to Naughty Dog Books
How to participate:
- READ 6 library books — remember, all books count: printed books, e-books and audiobooks, but we encourage reading for YOU (rather than reading aloud to children for instance).
- To be entered in the Gift Certificate Prize Drawings: Choose 6 categories from the grid above and read 1 book for each.
- To be entered in the Grand Prize Gift Basket Drawing: Complete a bingo (across, down or diagonal) with the 6 books you read.
- RECORD what you read in your reading log.
- TURN IN your completed reading log at the Library by July 20 and to earn an entry ticket in the prize drawings.
Earn additional entries in the Grand Prize Drawing by:
- Writing a book review or attending adult Library programs (1 ticket each).
Be sure to visit our Events Calendar for program dates to help you earn those additional prize drawing tickets!
Make sure to have your reading log turned in by July 20 to be eligible for the End of Summer Prize Drawings. Drawings will be held at on Monday, July 22 at 1 pm. Winners will be contacted directly and announced on social media.
To be eligible to win you must complete the program requirements outlined in the packet, have a Brown County, Indiana Public Library card, and be over the age of 18.
