Looking for an item that isn’t in our catalog? You can make an Interlibrary Loan Request and we will do our best to find the title for you. Online ILL Requests are not available at this time. Please visit or call the Library at 812.988.2850 to make your request.
How ILL works
- Check our catalog and make sure Brown County Public Library doesn’t own the item.
- Have the title and author of the item ready when you make your request.
- If we are able to borrow the item from another library we will let you know when it arrives.
- If we are unable to get the item we will let you know.
Items that can be borrowed include:
- Books
- DVDs
- Audiobooks
Items that cannot be borrowed include:
- Materials released in the last 6 months. Instead, consider making a Request for Purchase — just ask a librarian.
- Titles that are currently owned by Brown County Public Library, but are not currently on the shelves. For titles in our collection, please place a hold instead.
- Most magazines
