Friends of the Library

Sunday, April 7 & Monday, April 8, 2024

The Friends of the Library is seeking a parking attendant to operate the Library’s lower lot during the solar eclipse weekend, Sunday, April 7 and Monday, April 8. This weekend will be a great opportunity for the Friends to fundraise for the Library, but we can’t do it alone.

Parking spaces will be pre-sold, so no money handling is required. The attendant will earn $500 for both days. You can even partner with a friend and split the money! The attendant will need to:

  • Monitor the lot from 8 am – 8 pm each day
  • Control entrance to parking in the Library’s lower lot and direct parkers to prepaid assigned spots.
  • Use their own smart phone and install parking app.
  • Be 18 or older.

The Friends of the Brown County Library (FOL) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization that  raises funds to benefit the growing needs of the Library. Our volunteer members advocate, educate, and raise funds on behalf of the Library, its patrons, and the Brown County community. Funds raised through membership dues, book sales and donations directly support many of the library’s programs and activities.

The FOL is dedicated to promoting our Library as an essential institution of Brown County. Please consider joining or renewing your membership today.
