Cordry-Sweetwater Branch Library

Cordry-Sweetwater Lake District is located in the northeast corner of Brown County, about 15 miles from Nashville.   This can be quite a drive, so a group of friends started a lending book club at the clubhouse in the CSW district.  The Brown County Library began stocking a shelf with a few of the current best sellers and also started delivering books to our patrons there once a week as needed.  What started out as a few books for a few readers turned into what is now known as the Cordry-Sweetwater Branch Library.

The Branch Library has over 6,000 titles available on site which include DVDs, audio books, magazines, and of course, books!   They are opened 3 days a week for three hours each day.  Tuesday 2-5 p.m., Wednesday 3-6 p.m., Thursday 3-6 p.m.  The CSW branch is located next to the club house at the intersection of Nineveh Rd, Center Lake Rd, and Cordry Dr.

The CSW Branch Library is a volunteer powered library.  Georgene Settles is the volunteer coordinator.  If you live in the area feel free to stop in and talk to the volunteers and Georgene.  All Brown County Patrons can check out at the branch if it is convenient. The volunteers must confirm your library card before you check out.   Books, not available at the branch can be requested from the main library and we will deliver them to the branch just for you.  Also, items checked out from the branch can be returned to the main library.  We will make sure they are returned to the right location.
